Pensacola Series
This series celebrates the distinctive places and coastal landscapes of Pensacola—from quiet stretches of beach to familiar landmarks that hold personal and collective memory. Working primarily in pastel, I am drawn to light, atmosphere, and the subtle rhythms of the Gulf, capturing moments that feel both timeless and deeply rooted in place. Each piece invites the viewer to pause, remember, and connect with the beauty of Pensacola as it exists not only on the shoreline, but in the experiences and stories tied to it.

A special moment from this year’s Quayside Plein Air event…
I’m honored to share that my piece *Joy* received **3rd Place** in the April Plein Air competition. It’s always a meaningful experience to paint on location, responding in real time to light, movement, and atmosphere—and to have that work recognized makes it even more rewarding.
Even more exciting, my pastel *Basking* (the turtles) was awarded an **Honorable Mention** and found its new home during the opening reception. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about seeing a piece connect so deeply that it becomes part of someone else’s story.
